Really????? Why do we keep talking about the man who struggled with Not So Super Judah as if he isn't washed up

Perhaps Crawford and Matthysse will finally meet in the ring at 147. (There's not a lot of choices for them.)

HBO wanted Matthysse vs Crawford a year or so ago. Arum angrily objected, and HBO reluctantly settled for two unmarketable foreign fighters battling it out, Postol vs Matthysse.

damn that's harsh the man had given it his all he deserves some accolades. He wins this belt he's a world champ, yeah regular title or not the man earned it. War Lucas!

I'm hoping he's on Canelo's Cinco De Mayo card after he wins this title

He has been in hibernation for a while, with talks of retirement and then comes back against nondescript opponents and now he is fighting for a "belt".

Why not just buy one and be over with it.

In the meantime Maidana is enjoying a well deserved retirement.

    Who would have thought!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Golden Boy has poorly managed Lucas

He should stuck with Haymon. I guarantee Haymon would have gotten him the 140lb IBF belt which Lipinets now holds

But in addition to that...with how long Matthysse has been around he has never been a true world champion. Which is pretty surprising when you think about it.

I actually like those spots. They are lottery tickets to enforce the bigger fight. If you've got a promoter that can fork up those opportunities for his fighter then that's good. The Klitchko's never gave Loeffler any #1 ranked spots for Golovkin in the other ABCs... that's rather odd, as Golovkin has been a commodity for K2 for how many years? Doesn't make any sense. Loeffler and Lil'G all late in the game, GBP be like, "fugggg outta here, you'z amateur."
