Comments Thread For: Gallagher Sides With Groves To Win, Doesn't Rule Out Eubank

Veteran trainer Joe Gallagher is really looking forward to the super middleweight showdown between WBA world champion George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) and IBO champ Chris Eubank Jr. (26-1,20 KOs), which is set to take place at the Manchester Arena on February 17. That contest is the first semi-final bout in the World Boxing Super Series super middleweight tournament.

I have no idea how this will go but Groves will need a pretty big performance to outpoint Eubank. This could well be a battle of who has the best chin. Hope the judges are up to the job it it goes distance

It’s such a good division, it’s just a shame Truax and Ramirez aren’t involved

I see it slightly the other way but do agree that if Groves can frustrate Jr. with his movement Jr. does leave himself open and there's no doubt George can dig but I just wonder weather Jr's speed and youth might be too much for Groves after the tough long career he's had.

For boxing a win for the new blood would be better although i'd love to see George spark him ....if only to hear sr's excuses!
