Where's the controversy in 4 years? That would make him 45 when he walks away from the sport....and if he keeps in shape and trains hard like he normally does, it's not stretching it.

He's already achieved something that SRR couldn't do, why can't Hopkins continue fighting if he decides to?

Like I stated....you'd be hard pressed to find much evidence of him deteriorating as a fighter.

Hopkins needs to retire and enjoy his moment, it can't possibly be a better way to retire than as a current new champion in a new division. Go B-Hop !!!

I think Hopkins should retire. He has nothing left to prove. I think the only motivation he'd have left is money.

Hopkins doesn't have 4 years. He beat a 37 year old, and did it with the help of Mackie Shilstone. I said that moving up in weight with Mackie would give Hops more energy, but it doesn't mean he can fight for four more years. He needs to retire now, but honestly I'd be very unsurprised to see him fight Roy if Roy beats Ajamu in Idaho July 29.

Nard should walk away now...A fight with Jones means nothing at this point...a remtach with Tarver would make most fans puke and the only real big fight out there for Bernard currently is Mr. Calzaghe and even though Hopkins looked great last night he still doesnt match up well with a guy that has lightning quick hands and throws 80-100 punches a round.

Retire! (Unless Frank Warren makes a ridiculous offer)

The signs of his aging are obvious. He's still as smart, but way less aggressive and much less willing to get into exchanges. Like Tony Dorsette said: "The first thing that goes is your willingness to get hit."
