The guy can still make 118lbs - went up to 130 and fought the best fighter in the world and was stripped of his title 2 weight divisions lower, extorted for $15,000, and removed from the top 10 rankings.

        Disgusting.
        It's beyond disgusting.

It just goes to show the WBA's hate for a fighter. Stripping him of the belt was insane because he didn't do anything new that other fighters have not done in the past. Removing him from the ranking requires a lawsuit or a hard smear campaign mehn. In this current age, there is a lawsuit for everything especially with activist groups everywhere. You don't have to win the lawsuit, you just have to smear their name and any financial backing source in mud.

The fans on the other hand can't really do much about it, how do we boycott WBA?

RN has no leg in boxing, that's the simple truth. Canelo sh/t on WBC belt and they still begging him till today, even made a "Mexican" belt for him and GGG ( forgotten how this story went).

Will they do this to Top Rank, GB even Mayweather Promotions fighter? I doubt that.

he could beat both of them, but there is no way in hell any promoter would or should put a fighter that could make some money on a ring with rigo, he brings no money, no fans, no action, he'd make any boxer look bad
sucks, but that is the truth and he has done all this to himself, he doesn't deserve any more chances

A couple years ago he wanted big money, but if he accepted the 400k he got for the Loma fight I think they could get a deal done.

That is bad. I feel sorry for the guy. His only chance to gain recognition and a big name opponent for his career was to take a huge gamble moving up to take on one of the best fighters in the sport. He loses and gets ripped a new one for daring to be great.

Hopefully Santa Cruz or Mares will step up to the plate and accept the challenge.

Lomachenko went from 700k viewers on ESPN to 1.7 mil fighting Rigo. Brings no viewers though.

Frampton openly ducked Rigondeaux in an interview a year or so ago. He just lost to LSC. Hopefully they'll give Rigo a chance and let him fight in the UK. As much warranted flack this guy gets, he was still ducked so cut the guy some slack.

PS - If you wanna call my bluff about the interview youre gonna have to gimme a chance to find it.

For all the talk of Rigondeaux’s lack of fans, he sure stirred a lot of interest. That’s one of the things that really burnt me about Rigo’s so-called performance. A lot of people came out to support him at that fight, and he let them (us) all down in epic fashion. I was hearing about people making several stops, coming from other countries, just to support Rigondeaux. This is no bullshit. The ESPN numbers are evidence. Lomachenko’s viewership more than doubled. Vasyl obviously couldn’t do it alone. He needed a dance partner for that. Too bad he was the only one at the show.
