That’s cool. Time for Beterbiev to fight somebody with a pulse, might as well shoot for the top.

Kovalev knocks this overrated beterbean the *** out. Bumazz euro stiff

Id pick the Kov that fought Ward over Beterbiev. If he is same I think he beats him and I think Bivol beats him.Unless Stevenson got old id pick him over Beterbiev and prob Jack too.Tough division and I'm not sold on his next level power yet and he is slow and square.

Barrera does not bring ANYTHING to the table. Especially no belt.

Everyone already believes that it is just a matter of what round Barrera gets knocked out in against Kovalev.

The only reason Barerra is even talked about is that he is one of the only fights that can be made... and he is skipping it.

WBC belt is being held hostage by Chickenson, Beterbiev has his own promotional issues.

Hence why the talk of Bivol and Barrera.

In reality though... and I was at the last fight at MSG... The VAST majority of the fight fans who showed up were for Kovalev and Valera.... NOT Barrera.

Simply put, Kovalev is TOO much risk and is a CAREER ENDER for Barrera. After he most likely gets KO'ed... what is he to do? Who is he to fight? No belts, no champs, just a decent top 10.
No one is saying that Barrera deserves millions; he was made an offer, passed and won his next fight in style, and then was offered the exact same money again. He says no to the short money, goes ahead with planning to take a riskier fight to get a belt, and now Duva starts to run at the mouth about Beterbiev.

Trust your sense for once, lol

You seem to have a pretty LOW opinion of Barrera.
I am pretty sure it is not based on facts.

Outside of Kovalev, he is the most proven and battle tested of the lot.

Barrera is better than any of the fighters that these belt holders won their belts from!!

Lets just say if you have been betting against him, you have lost quite a tidy sum by now!!!

I could totally see Krooked Kathy pulling the old bait and switch. Teasing us with Beterbiev, then having Kovalev face another can at the last minute. Given HBO's track record lately and lack of quality control when it comes Kovalev's opponents it seems quite likely.

Believe me, I was AT the fight. =) He did nothing there to prove he was worth more than $500k for the fight.

Put it this way, he may deserve more money, but there is none to pay him.

                Is he PPV material? Nope.
Does he bring people into seats? Not really.

Are more people going to show for Kovalev Vs Barerra than Kovalev Vs Shabs or anyone else? I highly doubt it.

That is the issue... from the business sense, he brings nothing to the table.

In his last fight, I would estimate less than 10% of the fans in the theater were there for him. Valera had more folks show up for him.

Money does not grow on trees.

I don't have an uber low opinion of him as a fighter, not at all, and I think he did well against Ward... BUT... As a business guy, see my post above.

He is demanding more money when he brings nothing to the table to fill the arena.
