What are you talking about it didn't break the ppv record in north america, not even close. It did 875k which is good but nothing crazy. It was the highest of the year for Ufc by far. Most ufc ppv's in 2017 only did 100k-200k which is miserable. Bob didn't put any fights on ppv in 2017 but rest assured Loma and Crawford will both be ppv stars soon. Arum is right Ufc has gone way down and boxing is going upComment

The problem with the UFC is that all of its stars don't usually live up to their hype. Lesnar, Ronda, McGregor, Jon Jones(cheater), etc have all failed. Anderson Silva and George St Pierre were really great in their prime years, but they couldn't draw flies to ****. Jon Jones is a walking and talking disappointment. He has all the tools to market himself as the best MMA fighter ever, but he keeps failing drug test after drug test and doesn't seem to be remorseful about it either. Overall, Boxing is and forever will remain the godfather of combat sports. Lomachenko, TC, Spence, Joshua, etc, are all capable of carrying and being the face of boxing.Comment

It goes one of two ways, Dana is coming into boxing to take over, or Dana is coming into boxing to try to save his company.
I think he's trying to save his company.
UFC is a brand. A league. UFC doesn't equal MMA. Boxing is worldwide. It's huge. UFC is much smaller than boxing and less powerful.
I remember as recent as 10 years ago, people were raving about UFC/MMA and going on how boxing is dead and never coming back. Look at where we are now. UFC coming over and wanting to do business with boxing.Comment

With that being said Ufc is a huge and very successful company. More successful than any boxing promoter because they damn near have a monopoly. Bellator is their only real competitor and they are light years behind Ufc in terms of success. But Ufc has gone down a little bit and Boxing overall is bigger but there are many different promoters and platforms. Top Rank and Pbc are the biggest but you also have Golden Boy, K2, Matchroom ect. Top rank could become as successful as Ufc if they keep going the way they areComment
