I think this would be a very intriguing fight to watch unfold. Hurd is a big boy. Very big for the division. He wore Trout down using size. Lara is extremely skilled. True test of boxing skill and slickness vs size and power. Wouldn't make for a must see type of fight, but interesting to see it play out.

Hurd is my favourite fighter at 154, but I don't think this would be a good stylistic match-up for him. Although Angulo did give him problems with his pressure when they fought. So it could be interesting.

If Hurd goes for this he deserves credit.

Hurd continues to use that JAB like he had going vs Trout he is one of those guys who people will doubt and he will keep winning but he has to be more consistent offensively.

2018 time to get Adonis Stevenson and Erislandy Lara out of here and I like both of them but both been playing things way too safe for the last couple of years. So I would like to see Jack beat Stevenson and Hurd beat Lara to start some new ERAS in boxing instead of the same fight inferior opponents for a lot of money once or twice a year

Yeah Trout was boxing circles around him but kept getting sloppy and tried out power punching the much, much bigger man. Lara is way more slick then Trout and wont try and out slug him at times. Easy UD for Lara. 7 rounds to 3. Maybe 6-4 one one card...

don't make the mistake of making the ring as huge as the one in the Saunders vs Lemieux fight.
Man, that was really huge. Try rewatching the undercards.

Exactly! Trout looked liked an amatuer against Lara but looked super slick against Hurd.

So what does that say about Cotto, who looked like an amateur when he got schooled by Trout, Trout who got beat down and stopped by Hurd?
