I think your whole response answers my point. If Arum has such power to bend the media to his negative agenda don't you think he can bend them to see a diamond if he wants to?

Arum didn't like Rigo for whatever reason and Donaire was supposed to be the star who would win but Rigo ruined that plan so Arum decided to destroy Rigo's career.

If he wanted to build Rigo, he would have done it or atleast tried harder. Not completely destroy the guys's career. He wasn't trying to build Rigo.

Rigo may not have been a super star under Arum but he won't be in this current condition.

Arum has created alot of stars with different fighting styles.

I never thought about it like that until Bornote said it, Rigo has no luck at all!! In his prime no one wanted to fight him at the peak of his talent, very inactive, plus no one would air his fights even though he's a top pound for pound fighter, then he has to move up two weight classes to fight a guy who a lot of experts view as the number one p4p just to get a decent fight, then quits on his stool in front of the world in another boring fight smh!! If he can still make 118 why not challenge Roman Gonzalez!!!

huh ??? - R.G is going down to 112 most likely - he could go down to 18 and fight winner of Tete and Inoue or just either on

just retire. that quit job is unforgivable. worst than walters. I dont remember anybody having any damn sympathy for walters but rigo is a victim of the "system"? GTFOH. he had plenty of opportunities on PPV undercards to make statements, he was matched against bums to help him do it and he still stunk the place out. thats nobody's fault but his.

vs loma he wasn't taking a beating he was just discouraged when the ref took away his only weapon (clinching). after that he said fck it. it was disgraceful and he should've never been paid.

Forced? That's where he belonged for years. He was afraid to move up to Loma at 126, ran out of options and had to make the fight at 130 for less than what he was offered at 126. Now he is likely sweating Russell Jr. Rigo can beat Frampton and Quigg, but Santa Cruz is 50/50 and Russell toys with him.

it sucks but small guys have to be exiting, pro boxing is a lot more of a business than it is sport. It's not enough just to win you have to put on a performance but rigo was fine with just winning. People here trying to make it seem like it's some racist conspiracy against rigo. Promoters don't care about race they care about their pockets and Rigo was all wrong for professional boxing. If he at least learned some English and talked **** maybe he would be more of a draw despite his style.

Rock Bottom Nation overpaid Ward and Cotto but barely paid Rigo a dime!

I feel for the dude, RN is just all wrong for him and most boxers infact. It's not about insane risk but that seems to be the trend with Roc Nation. They need to get a whole team of boxing gurus who know their stuff, know how to work an unknown or barely loved/hated fighter into the emotions of the fans.

Love him or hate him, Arum is still the best at building fighters.
This nailed it. Rigo won't be sought after simply because he's not going to bring any reward in fighting him - completely irrelevant to what weight he's at.

Anyone who fights him either beats a guy who just quit, or loses to a guy who just quit.

That, and he just isn't marketable.
