his glove def. touhed the canvas cuz if it didnt tarver would of went completely down. when his gloved touched the canvas he caught himself allowing to regain his balance. case closed.

You can't see his glove too good, but you can clearly see him knee give way. The only way he would have stayed up is my bracing himself by putting a glove on the canvas.
