A prime Mike Tyson would sleep both of them. A prime Muhammad Ali would take them apart. Lennox Lewis would definitely kick their asses. You all know it.

Heavyweight division sux in the modern era. Tyson Fury was our best hope and he had a breakdown and will probably never fight again (or be the same fighter he used to be even if he did.)

humans evolve at a very high speed. AJ & wilder are the best in the world in 2018.

the best in 2018 would kill the best from 1968 or 1988.

No they wouldn't. This idea that every athlete or human being is more advanced or 'better' in any real sense than every person that came before them is a modern myth based off people's limited and conjectural understanding of biology. And like your typical myth, it's been passed around and repeated so often that it's become conventional truth when it's not.

I don't think Joshua is overly sloppy or a bum but he's far from the finished product. Not sure how far he can go but I think he's a good fighter. You are right in that he wouldn't provide much of a test with the fighters you mentioned. Throw in Rid**** Bowe and Ike Ibeabuchi, both of whom would dominate today.

The division has been very weak post Lewis. The Klitshcko's were very good but not great IMO and the rest of the field was poor. I'd suspect Joshua is closer to Klits level than Lewis'.

Wilder I just don't get the fascination with. He's average because of his power. He'd be no threat for Joshua, Fury, the Klits let alone the 90's guys.

I was with you up until what you said about Tyson Fury.
If you think he's a great heavyweight then I suggest you seek counseling

But Joshua sc****d by a washed up Klitschko. Not a fan of either guy, but at least the media acknowledges Wilder isn't that great.

It's not just biology my friend. Training, nutrition, recovery techniques, designer drugs, understanding of the human body have all evolved as well an incredible amount since Ali first won the title.

Not every athlete or human being is more advanced, but the absolute best that the Earth has to offer in 2018 would dominate the absolute best the Earth had to offer in 1968.

True, same argument is used to say SRR and Ali wouldn't be as great in this era as they were in theirs. Like you said, all conjecture. If anything, they were miles better when you consider how advanced nutrition, diet, equipment and technology is today compared to the dusty, simple gyms of yesteryear.
