Canelo just needs to watch footage of Monroe Jr. and forget the Floyd mimic for one night. Nelo just gotta put on the Mongoose role and we're all good.

Seriously doe...the fight was in Canada... Ingle getting that pass so that both David and BJS can do their thing.... agaisnt Nelo, BJS gonna have that strict juice regimen..

My boy Nelo gotta pimp it harder.
No issues there since Nelo is in the same division with these giants. It's his problem if he can't make 154 anymore.

        Current Best middleweights:
        1) GGG who has declined significantly in the past 2 years but for at least the next year he will be the best MW.
        2) Jacobs who came close last time in beating GGG. Next Time GGG will make Jacobs have a catch weight for the day of the fight.
        3) Canelo who has good speed, timing and power but has stamina issues that make it hard for him to fight multiple 3:00 Minute Rounds.
        4) Saunders who is a boring fighter who possesses good quickness and below average power for an elite mw. Against B level competition Saunders has one a lot of ugly fights while running from one side of the ring to the other. If Saunders fights any of the top 3 mw he gets stopped or badly beaten while he runs for 12 rounds like a chicken with his head cut off. Saunders needs to cash in with GGG or Canelo because the group of mw's under him like Charlo would probably beat him.

You forget Saunders is a southpaw that might add more difficulties for Nelo since he struggles with southpaws (Lara & Trout) aside from the fact that Saunders is bigger, taller, longer and same age with Nelo.

I will say that Roy is correct in that quote. I personally always thought Canelo should do 154 as long as he can because his style doesn't work as well against bigger/taller/longer guys. He's pretty stocky at 160. People want to pretend that same weight = same size but that's so noobish. I'm tall and lean and I've had training partners scratch their heads at how we could be the same size because they were so much smaller and less muscular. There's a lot more to the story than weight and weight is no longer an advantage for Canelo now that he's at 160.
I also think Canelo should stay at 154. BUT HE CAN'T.

He made 154 naked and cancelling Vada testing. He said later he struggled to make weight. He invented 155 for a reason. He had failed to make 154 against Angulo.

He isn't tall for MW, but he isn't small for the weight. He weights at least 175 on fight night which is more than the average MW.

            Stop making excuses.

He's only 27. Black-Nelo 2.0 was christened by Floyd. Best is yet to come

Alvarez was 23. Trout was in his prime and bonafide defending Champion. Lara is on another level than Trout or BJS. Cuban boxing is very militant in its training, and of course Cubans have their set of elites too.

BJS, when fighting Nelo, won't be on the juice...like Warren pretending to not know Yarde's on it...particularly when draining for LHW and recouping the power for fight night.

This^ is why I usually don't bother w/ these subjects. You give an honest opinion and you have ******s throwing around words like "excuses". I have no need to excuse Canelo for anything.

Some of you have no interest in being honest about anything on here. If that's you, *** off and stick to arguing w/ people on your level.

I guess you also thought Tyson was too small for HW and belonged to CW?

No, because you're trying to compare 6lbs to 30lbs. Also, the current 200lb CW limit was not established in Tyson's day.
Not that I'd expect you to know shyt about boxing

One thing you might know is what happened to Tyson when he started facing quality HW's.

You're done now. I won't be back in this thread to waste any more time educating you on this shyt.
