Hard to rock someone
if they are running and not wanting to engage like Fury, awful style for Parker too. Ruiz has a great chin, never been down. Cojanu is 6ft 8" and fought very cynical with defence up all night, smaller guy will always struggle to knock someone out who doesn't create any openings, he sparred 50+ rounds with Parker too he knew what he could do. He rocked Takam in the 8th and should have K.O him, inexperience cost him that finish. Dimitrenko he put down 4 or 5 times. He can knock Joshua, like I said he has enough power.
Parker was running from Ruiz & couldn't even hurt him.

“I think it’ll be a good match up. It could go either way,” Ruiz said.
“I think Joshua’s a little too strong. Joseph didn’t hurt me at all, not even one time. Joseph Parker’s going to have to do something different to what he normally does to win this fight. But Joshua is pretty good. He stays tall too much. He never had a pressure fighter on him all the time. It would be a good match up.”
Ruiz picks Joshua in the end but says it could go either way.
Just because Ruiz said Parker never hurt him doesn't mean he doesn't have any power. Has anyone ever hurt Ruiz? That dude is a bit of a freak the way he walks through punches, and is an exceptional counterpuncher.Comment

Equally if he does use the above strategy there’s nothing stopping Joshua just standing back, conserving energy and counter punching rather than chasing.Comment

Nice in theory but Joshua is actually a very good counter puncher who’s fists are certainly not that slow whereas Parker was been getting hit far too much by inferior fighters. If Parker is properly on his game he could pull off boxing and moving for the first half of the fight but in my opinion it is very questionable that he’ll be able to avoid all of Joshua’s shots in that time.

Totally, though I do think Hearn saying Parker got under Joshua’s skin is his way of promoting the fight, especially when you consider it wasn’t long ago when Joshua himself said he knows that he cannot let things get heated like it did with Whyte and that he needs to be professional in the ring at all times.Comment

Lookin forward to seeing parkers chin get tested, they say it's rock solid but he hasn't really faced a heavy hitter yetComment

I believe AJ does not have inside game and I don't really know if Parker has, but I wouldn't stand far back because AJ generally enjoys boxing at distance.
Hey, I may be totally wrong also.Comment

Parker has a rudimentary, instinctive inside game. If you look back to the semi-pro WSB days he has quite a bit of natural talent on the inside but it seems it's been coached out of him recently and his coach has tried to make him box from the outside more. Not sure if they go the route of boxing inside vs Joshua. It's an interesting idea though.Comment
