The thing about top rank that makes them great to me, is their ability to build a fighter's name from a nobody, to a somebody that we talk about. They make them a star in their hometown first, so they have crowd and a following before trying to sell them to the masses. The downside of bob is once they are a national star, they don't get paid what they should. This is whyDon King was able to pick the fruits from the the trees that bob has grown over the years, after bob put in the work, the money, and took the risk to develop them. Delahoya, with the help of HBO, provided the blueprint for Floyd and other boxers to follow. Floyd just improved on ODH's model to receive what he actually generated. Once you're a star, you don't need top rank's connections anymore to make big fights. The smartest fighters in top ranks stable have left because they know they can get more as a free agent. Pac DEFINITELY could've made more without them. Pac should've went out on his own like Floyd did, because his name alone drove great numbers, like Floyd and ODH. I believe if Ward started with top rank, based on amateur resume, he would've been a bigger star than he was in the beginning and middle of his career. u must not know the boxing business. Floyd vs Manny was a co-promotion. There wasn’t a POS for a Manny given to Mayweather Promotions where they pay Top Rank a fee and top rank pays Manny a percentage. This was a co promotion with Mayweather Promotions the lead promoter. Manny made over $100 million.

TR and MP negotiated the 60-40 split and then TR made their deal with Manny. Floyd Mayweather only made Top Raks payday.

Manny took his 100 million plus. More like 120.

As for mikey he would have had it 2 years ago. He even admitted that if he knew he would have been out this long then that he wouldn’t have done it. And also admitted he would have made more money.
