  • Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Leans To Mikey Garcia To Beat Vasyl Lomachenko

After his domination of Guillermo Rigondeaux, many experts and fans alike have called for a Vasyl Lomachenko-Mikey Garcia showdown. Both fighters have also expressed interest in the fight but it definitely won't happen in early 2018 as Garcia has a February 10th showdown against IBF super lightweight champion Sergey Lipinets locked in while Lomachenko will likely be returning to the ring in April.

Are people gonna cry for little Vasyl if he loses to a guy fighting in a weight class 10lbs heavier like they did for Rigo? And will they diminish Garcia's win because of the size like they did to Lomachenko a few weeks ago?

He talks about them all the time then jumps weight classes and fights stiffs for trinkets. Typical of boxing nowadays

Mikey is a basic flat-footed fighter with a work-rate and great endurance... Loma is the most skilled fighter in boxing - Mikey's style is tailor-made for Loma. That fight now is number 1 on my list even above Joshua v. Wilder and Saunders v. Canelo...

Mikey doesn't really have a great work rate IMO. He looks lethargic against Broner.

Wilder vs. Joshua is #1, Spence Jr. vs. Crawford is # 2, and Mikey vs. Loma is #3, on my wish list! Mikey and Linares have fights scheduled, so who do you want to see Loma fight next?

Nobody wants to see Spence LOL...

Go see Crawford when he was on First Take with Stephen A - dude said he wants Thruman but not Spence. Stephen A was pressing him on Spence, and Crawford was

I want to see Loma unify until Mikey or Linares opens up.

Agreed about the Broner fight. But I think Mikey took his foot off the gas because Broner really just fought to not get hurt and was willing to lose every round as long as Mikey didn't press him any harder.

Loma will be there for 12 rounds with angles and movement, and Mikey will be spinning and tiring out by the second-half of the fight. Too bad Mikey is using Arum as an excuse to duck.
