He said his close friend would win. Big surprise. Did anybody expect him to say Loma would win? I am sure all Loma's close friends think he would beat Mikey. It is meaningless.

Russell Jr. is HYPE! Who has he fought and beat worth a damn to this day??? Jhonny González and that's it! And only reason he's known is beating Mares for like upset of the year...

Here show me ANY fighter besides Lomachenko that is better than C class???

I see your point but he was ESPN's prospect of the year back then and everyone was raving about him. The win loses some of its luster based on Russell's subsequent lack of growth, but I still think Loma should get credit for it, is all I am saying. I am pretty sure that very few people picked Loma to take him to school the way he did. Peace.

yep, all overrated hype jobs. Although we have to let verdejos career play out a bit more, but it doesn't look good. What, do you think I'm not honest about puerto Rican hype jobs too? A hype job is a hype job whether he's Rican, Mexican, black white, whatever.

exactly this hahahahahahahahaha. honestly i strongly believe the garcia family are scared of lomachenko. what kind of challenge does mikey have for lomachenko?????? lomachenko is far more skillful, faster, better and quicker movement and hand speed. lomachenko boxes circles around mikey for the first few rounds before mikey calls it quits.

No doubt about it! We all know Russell is VERY good but damn his career is dog sht! He never fights and when he does its against no hopers.

Russell Jr. Is wasted talent could of been a major player in the boxing game but instead just sits on sidelines and pouts...Guys his size fight 2,3 4x a year. NOT 1x then retires for 12-18 months.

well first we have to find a boxer who was 30 years old when he turned pro lmfao.

I would definitely agree with this.

For the next few years or maybe more, younger guys will be using some of his moves.
