  • Comments Thread For: Coldwell: Joshua Will Smash Parker To Bits, Wilder is Tough Fight

Veteran trainer David Coldwell, who handles heavyweight contender Tony Bellew among others fighters, expects IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) to do a real job on WBO champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs). Joshua and Parker are in line to fight each other, likely on March 31. A deal is very close after both sides reached an agreement on the revenue split earlier this week.

yes but wait till when parker goes to aj's body, then see him gas, he was gassed against wlad who was not really throwing much. I wana see hard punches by parker to aj's body.

good luck aj but parker is the bogey man, not ortiz, lol.

I'm interested to see how parker plays it, does he play the bad guy? not sure how that would benefit him? or play the nice guy when aj already has taken up that role kind of?

Maybe he can hire a private investigator and find out some stuff about aj, and get under his skin or something.

Maybe he can make aj crack? I think aj is a hot headed guy...if they kind of take subtle swiped at aj in the media it might well get him really angry.

He has already tried with the glass robot thing on his twitter, that's a good start but is he going to back it up with more?

Parker is trash, said that from the word go. He wouldn't be top 20 in most other eras. Stiff basic plodder and he'll go early. Sorry if that sounds disrespectful but hes really not much. Saying that he's still better than anyone that Alabama fraud has fought.

At the very worst Parker is equal to Takam who took Joshua 10 rounds. I'd be surprised if Joshua blows him away early, Parker has never been dropped and Joshua's power while obviously huge doesn't mean he'll blow away everyone. Breazeale took a lot off of Joshua too and hung in there for several rounds.

Wilder is a more risky fight as Wilder has that equalizer with his big right hand. But I can't see Joshua/Wilder going beyond 6 rounds. Joshua will get to him before that and shatter that glass chin. The way Wilder drops his right hand makes me think he'll eat a left hook off Joshua and once hurt Joshua will finish him.

Hope parker learn't from the wlad fight, don't get caught early in the round by aj, make him gas a bit first.

I don't think so. Wilder would be easier for AJ. But they still both lose.

Coldwell is a midget swinging off AJs nuts , OK I'll admit I'm a Parker fan (by nationality) and offended but I think he's full of it anyway
Also , Wilder in Vegas , most definitely, Froch is right on this, be a man, go big, Vegas is where this undisputed unification belongs , think big, it will do the numbers, Wilder will gain market and hype in the lead up
Wembley is always there for Fury etc but Vegas will make it historic
