Anthony Joshua Dropping Wieght, Currently Wieghs 242lbs

Anthony Joshua posted a few intense workout videos of him at the gym on snapchat.. He weighed himself after the workout, coming in at 110kg which is about 242lbs.

That's 13lbs lighter than his last fight and he hasn't even started training camp. This is a good move for him as all the extra added muscle made him look more slower recently.. But if he's currently weighing 242lbs, then what will he weigh come fight night in March?

Serious question. Has he been subject to VADA for his recent fights? Parker insisted on VADA for the unification. Could be a possible explanation for the weight loss.

I think Joshua will come in lighter than the last fight, I remember an interview following klistchko fight where he thought he was too heavy in that fight and intended to come in lighter for pulev. I agree hat I think he went too heavy, if the above is true I think he should aim for about that weight for parker but it will be interesting because what weight he is next fight will probably say ally for his future career.

He is regularly tested, I remember an interview a while back where he said he must be the “most tested athlete in the world”, which isn’t a surprise really given he has different sanctioning bodies all testing him etc - and the uk is well known for being more strict than other countries.

UKAD are in league with the BBBofC and they both see Anthony Joshua as the golden goose. A 'nest of shills' would be a fitting description for either body. Implying that AJ goes through stringent testing is laughable.

He is random drug tested 24/7 360 by VADA, UKAD, and adams whereabouts. There was an article that said he is one of the most tested fighters on the planet. When Eddie Hearn was in the boxing voice podcast he told Deontay Wilder.. Wilder was tested 4 times in his fight against Stiverne rematch.. AJ was tested 14, yes 14 times against Carlos Takam. To me I have no reason to doubt AJ or Wilder are in anthing.. They have never failed a test and have always been tested.

If this is true its the BEST thing he could poss do.All that extra bulk from powerlifting was killing his stamina. His last fight was REAL bad he gassed by 5th in a fight that was fought at his pace all night. It was so bad I was thinkin almost anyone with a chin and some desire to go thru 1st 4-5 rounds of punishment could beat him.I was ready to give Parker a REAL GOOD chance if he came in over 250.He looked so much better vs Breazeale at like 243.I hope its true as a fight with Wilder could be HUGE for boxing. All REAL fans of boxing should be rooting like he ll for BOTH in next fights and demand they fight by summer.
