You guys must be insane. Lower weights produce some of the better fights and competition nowadays. In latin america and asia a lot of boxers are from those weights and people watch and enjoy the fights. Those boxers have a following in their home countries. Boxing is a WORLD sport.

Nah man, I love boxing ; I look past the superficial and appreciate the craft and skill. In other sports like baseball for examples fans would ridicule you if you refused to watch a team because a midget was hitting the most homeruns or scoring the most....like whats that all about?

😱😱😱No ****. That’s the reason we have weight categories.
If your incapable of enjoying pure boxing talent because guys “aren’t big enough” I don’t think this sport is for you.

Because your a casual fan. If you cut off 122 and below many modern all-time greats who were involved in classic fights wouldn't have happened.

Eder Jofre (perhaps the most technically excellent all-round boxer ever), Ruben Olivares (perhaps the most entertaining fighter ever), Wilfredo Gomez, Carlos Zarate, Rafael Marquez, Ricardo Lopez, Chiquita Gonzalez, Johnny Tapia, Mark Johnson, Michael Carbajal just a few excellent fighters (mostly ATGs) you haven't heard of who you might want to check and then obviously the likes of Chocolatito, Inoue, Estrada, Rungvisai, Cuadras have brought great talent and great action in the last couple of years.

Here's a list of some of the best fights ever

              Wilfredo Gomez vs. Lupe Pintor

Ruben Olivares vs. Kazayoshi Kanazawa II

Ruben Olivares vs. Chucho Castillo I & II

              Rafael Marquez-Israel Vazquez I, II & III

Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Erik Morales I

Chiquita Gonzalez vs. Michael Carbajal I

Those are some of the best fights ever at any weight.

These fights should set you on your way to moving up from casual status.

                    I'd get rid of 130, 122, 115, 108 and 105 for sure.

135, 126, 118 and 112 would be so much better without them.

Ricardo Finito Lopez was a joy to watch. He had the whole package. Speed, footwork, power. I have never seen a fighter could truly match him. Not Manny, a powerhouse in his own right. Neither Mayweather, a defensive genius, but boring to watch.
