Comments Thread For: Hearn Aims To Finalize, Announce Joshua-Parker in Early 2018

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is just about there with respect to a finalized agreement for his boxer to take on WBO champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) in a high profile unification. A few days ago, word broke of a near deal when David Higgins, promoter for Parker, revealed that a purse split was formally agreed upon - after it appeared at one point that both sides would not be able to get on the same page.

Parker is going to get knocked out and go back to fighting bums in New Zealand with Higgins and rip off locals for a $60 PPV buy.

If Parker is brave and doesn't do a Tua-Lewis he can still be a draw outside, he's a good heavyweight, maybe top 10, he can't be a boring guy though and bore the punters, get sharp like he was before all the beefing up

I'm quite certain Parker was on some PED before he became world champ.

Notice how he is now WBO champion and has been blown up since his past three fights defending the title?

This form of Parker would give Joshua troubles. But I doubt Parker can get into this form again with natural cultivation.

Parker can count the days he's got left as a belt holder. A career as a gatekeeper awaits.

I can't wait for this fight.
                Its as close as ever.
I wish Whyte will fight a credible opponent on the undercard. Maybe Dominic Breazeale.

Definitely not, he's Samoan, they get fat young and easily, it's natural, I live in NZ, trust me on that

They tried to beef him up to add muscle but Samoans aren't lean like many of African descent.

He was always naturally quick, he needs to get it back though I agree, it's his only point of difference vs a world class heavyweight.
His power wasn't all that, he always been a combination puncher with decent pop, I think he needs to get back to that , his legs and arse look too big now .
