I’m not a Alexander fan but truth is truth Maidana and Mathyse very feared ko artists at the time.

the sadist in me wants ortiz to work his way back to a rios shot [read that out loud without dying of laughter.]

then we can watch them throw punches at the presser, beat the hell out of each other, and hopefully retire.

maidana was his moment in the sun. solid win, considering that maidana gave floyd and khan a tough fight, and knocked adrien broner around the ring.

he lost to matthysse, doe. that was a bad decision. 10 round fight, IIRC, too. when there is a legit knockdown in a 10 round fight a guy has to really run away with the rest of the rounds to win, and alexander didn't.

Nah they weren’t, there was some guy called Floyd who was the best welter at the time. Floyds a scumbag but it is what it is.
Devon Alexander is a two weight world champ, a former unified champion at 140 and a former WW champ.
Rios is a former lightweight champion who’s never had one significant win at 147.
Both are shot fighters tbh but IMO Devon is the better fighter. He has the better skills and has achieved more in his career.

I think we all know how this will end (Ortiz Quits).
