Comments Thread For: Joshua vs. Parker Nears: Both Sides Reach Agreement on Split

A title unification clash between WBO champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) and IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is now closer than ever to get finalized for a 2018 showdown. Parker's promoter David Higgins of Duco has confirmed that they've received a contractual offer from Eddie Hearn, who handles Joshua, where the two sides have agreed upon the revenue split for a potential fight in the UK in March or April of 2018.

Hearn finally whittled Parker down to 11%? Nice.

It seems as if Parker got between 30%-33% which should bank him around $4.5 - $6.5 mil which is by far his biggest payday of his career! Not Bad! So it seem as if Hearn might be willing to give Wilder between 35%-40% which should bank Wilder anywhere from $7.5 - $10 mil which would be his biggest payday of his career by far! That's a huge jump from $1.5 mil average per fight

Sometimes I wonder what small details are being "hammered out". I called 33% a while ago. Didn't seem too complicated to arrive at that number. There are obviously smaller details that the general public aren't familiar with.

Pretty much everyone with a shred of common sense figured it would sit between 30-35%, so it's nice to see them finally get pen to paper...ish.

If money is settled fight is settled. Unless team Parker just wants to avoid at all cost.

Yawn, not so excited about this fight, another unknown tomatoe can for AJ the Body Builder/juicehead. Hopefully this clown and his spoiled brat promoter step up to the plate and give the fans what we really want, Wilder vs Chump. This guy is going to beat Martin, and now Parker for titles, what a joke. The WBC is still the most prestigious belt. Try to grab that belt and beat a real champ!

Well, that's good because Wilder knows what he'll be getting less than if he actually wants the fight. 50/50 = Is Beyonce translation for: I only want to fight tomato cans

Eddie Hearn and mismatchroom just let the public know that they are not as big as they think! New Zealand is nothing compared to the American market! it looks like Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder is calling the shots in negotiations, I dont want to hear any B.S from the local boys from the UK! suck it!

Well, maybe if Wilder gets done fighting fat, tomato cans and guys he knowes can't fight without steroids - maybe he'll drop the 50/50 price himself out duck and actually take a flight to the UK and get Jeff Lacy'd... OK, pu55y?
