I didn't even think he deserved fighter of the year in 2012 for beating Wilfredo Vazquez Jr, Jeffrey Mathebula, Toshiaki Nishioka, and Jorge Arce.

Nonito was once a very skilled boxer until he fell in love with that left hook.

Not bad accomplishments in my opinion. He could do, but there are more worthy who haven't gotten in

Marquez got knock-out of the year and fight of the year for 2012 by the Ring.

Donaire ‘Fighter of Year’ by the Ring and BWAA in 2012.

Yes if many believe paper champ Carl Froch is then Donaire is first ballot.

                Bump.
Donaire proved why he belongs to the HOF. Hope he decides to hang them up, what a warrior and class act.

Yes without question hes a first ballot HOFer. and anyone that says otherwise can suck my d ick.

and this is coming from somebody that has lost $ on betting on donaire (v walters) and agaisnt him (V Burnett) (Inoue KO) so have every reason to dislike the man

one of the nicest, (and more importantly CLEANEST) athletes in the sport, paid for his own VADA, had a legendery career, he is a total warrior (how the **** he didnt get stopped V inoue is beyond me) and a complete G. much respect.

                    Great wins.

                    Great even in defeat.

                    Multiple championships in multiple divisions.

P4P #1 at one point in his career.

Fought on a championship level for over a decade.

...it's kind of a no brainer...
