No one cares about or respects Matthysse at all anymore. His "serious" eye injury was a black eye. At this point Matthysse is on the same level as brain-dead Brandon Rios... So, maybe he does have a chance at a Garcia rematch.

Garcia has to realize he no longer holds any belts. Not fighting for over a year, and then coming back against Rios is asinine. I guess it is an easy fight for some easy money, but no matter what he does, it isn't going to get anyone thinking better of him. It is a fight he should dominate and win easily. Maybe Garcia should try and talk Brook into coming back down to ww for a fight, since Swift refuses to fight Porter. And if he won't fight Porter, no way is he even considering a fight with Spence. If Thurman goes a different route, Garcia should try and fight Vargas. Vargas isn't elite, but he is at least respectable, which is more than anyone can say about Matthysse or Rios.
