    Dangerous puncher Lucas Matthysse will make his debut in 2018 with a fight for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) "regular" welterweight championship, when he faces unbeaten Thai boxer Tewa Kiram (38-0, 28 KOs). The fight will take place on January 27 at The Forum in Inglewood, in evening that will also see a WBA lightweight title fight between the pupil of the legendary trainer Freddie Roach, Mercito 'No Mercy' Mesta (31-1-2, 17 KOs), against the champion Jorge 'El Nino de Oro' Linares (43-3, 27 KOs).

          maybe if lucas gets the belt danny might be interested in giving him a rematch. i would love that fight again

              Sad that this title is even going to exist. I thought the WBA wanted to get rid of belts, not add to the number of them.

                          Mattyhsse was never that good, and will continue to lose to top names. I wouldn't be surprised if he loses his next fight.

                                  Let's see how Lucas looks in this fight but I doubt Danny would take the fight it's a no-win situation for him there's bigger fights 4 him... I believe Garcia would control the entire fight with his boxing ability and when are unanimous decision
