Yes, he does pass the eye test but that is the only test he does pass.
The reason why his detractors still say "Salido Doe" is very simple.
He didn't give Siri a rematch right away when he should have, nor has he fought anyone since who had even a slight chance of employing a similar gameplan as Siri did.
He has yet to face another guy who is willing to mix it up AND has power AND can go to the body with some conviction.
We still don't know what will happen if Loma fights someone with enough skill, toughness, and power to impose his will on Vasyl.
Which is why we don't hear Loma calling out too many guys at 135 and we don't even hear him calling out guys at 130 who might be able to do some of the same things.
No call outs of Miguel Berchelt or Francisco Vargas for example, instead he wants an inexperienced Davis who has no belt.
Linares and Easter at 135 are also very intriguing...again, we've never heard these names mentioned by Loma. He has mentioned Mikey-kinda- but that is obviously because it shapes up as a decent money fight, probably Loma's biggest potential payday.
The question really isn't "who can beat Loma" because there seems to be no shortage of guys that have a decent chance.
The question is who is Loma willing to fight that isn't a cherry pick?
P.S. In addition to the ****ers mentioned, a rematch with Russell or a fight with Farmer also might be quite interesting.
