Earlier this month, Caleb Truax pulled off a huge stunner over Britain's former Olympic champion James DeGale on a majority decision to win the IBF world super middleweight title in London. The 31-year-old DeGale was making the fourth defence of his title in his first fight on home soil for three years, but the 2008 Beijing gold medallist was condemned to just the second defeat of his career.

Always good to see an underdog pull of the win...especially in the opponent's backyard!!
Could not have happened to a more deserving pro.
Hope he is able to cash in on his belt cos time is definitely not on his side.

I quite agree, de”gay”le is way overrated by his alleged fan base and whichever part of the boxing business that rates him but hay ho, total douche bag and the better man won.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke.

classic case of degale believing his own hype and looking past his opponent, also probably rushed his comeback

This is interesting, as I noticed the same thing during the fight. I remember DeGale getting socked in his mouth in the fifth round, taking a step back, putting his glove over his mouth and then retreating. I thought he was done at that point. While I'm not a DeGale fan, to his credit, he was going down with the ship. I think he saw his career flash in front of him and he bit down, so fair play to him.

To that end...Jack still won that fight.
