Comments Thread For: George Foreman: Anthony Joshua is Legit, He's The Man To Beat!

Former heavyweight champion and Hall of Famer George Foreman believes IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua is the current king of the division. There is an ongoing debate over which boxer is the new king of the heavyweights - with Joshua, WBC champion Deontay Wilder and WBO champion Joseph Parker all claiming their right to the throne.

The heavyweight division is very weak, Joshua is not a great heavyweight and never will be, there is only one other average heavyweight Wilder, them 2 should fight.

Honestly the state the division is in, there is no "king" of the division. Joshua is ahead by default because he beat Klitscko and his drawing power. I wish they would set up a tournament to settle this and make sure they have Luis Ortiz in it to see if he really is the truth because it seems like none of them want to take a crack at him..Just a Christmas wish i guess

For all the Wilder fans, please answer this question. If Washington can keep Wilder at bay and win rounds against him, how on earth do you think that AJ will do against Wilder? Also, do you think that Washington would have been able to outbox and muscle AJ around the ring for 4 or 5 rounds? Be realistic, Wilder beat a has-been in Stiverne and before that he never fought a top guy.

It's easy; Wilder was coming off of a long lay off and recuperating a torn bicep & broken hand. You don't just jump in the ring and go for broke. Wilder was gun shy early because of muscles and the fear of another injury. Washington won early rounds but he didn't score a knockdown, cut or bruise Wilder. And then he got KO'd and lost.
Don't forget Ali did the same to Foreman...

God you Wilder fans are so out of touch that it's hard to debate with you haha. Every single time Wilder fights a bad opponent, there's an excuse. But notice, when Pulev was hurt for the AJ fight, Hearn got the next guy in line. He didn't go get a guy that was 14th ranked in the IBF or something like Wilder does. Wilder has had 6 title defenses and not one of those guys was in the top 30 in the world. Think about that for a second...
