That Kid Gonzalez was good before he got KTFO, Spence is good and Canelo is also very good, Peterson was good when he was at his best, Salido was also one of the last of that breed that felt very comfortable on the inside.

Other than these guys I can't really recall anyone, it's one of the lost arts in boxing, great fighters of past times used to take breaks, rough up their opponent and set up KO punches all on the inside. U need to have good instincts and good feel of where ur opponents arms are at at all times, things that are a bit missing in today's fighters.

Of the more popular fighters I'd have to say none. It's a lost art.

Yeah Jack is probably the best right now. He does some really good work in the trenches. I like Spence and think he can get there in a couple years.

Of the boxers I know I would say Spence and I would rate his close range fighting better than Ward's close range fighting ever was. Spence is a terrific close range fighter with crushing body punches but he fights 100% clean without holding while hitting. Ward was a dirty inside fighter who wrestled, mauled, clinched, held with one hand while pounding away with the other hand, head butted and hit low. Spence does none of those things and yet he is more effective than Ward and often scores KOs with his excellent body punching.

I think Spence is a much better infighter than Peterson and a much harder puncher. Since they will soon fight each other we will see if I am correct on this. I think Spence will score a one sided KO win.

Chris Eubank Jr should get a mention. Those vicious right uppercuts are a thing of beauty.

Still going with Roman Gonzalez despite back to back losses.
