Wilder is not overconfident in his right hand. The threat of his right hand is what makes his opponent focus too much on it while ignoring other things he brings to the table - his athleticism, his lateral movement, his jab which is used as a bait to set up the right hand, his left hook, his ability to fight both on the front and back foot something only Fury and maybe Ortiz do well of the top 5 fighters), etc. More important is Wilder's mind - his confidence that he is better fighter than AJ.
