I’m not going to go back and forth with fanboy rhetoric about age, who’s chased who, who’s moved up in weight down in weight, how long they’ve been professionals and all that Bs. Id just like to know the real reasons that the negotiations have dragged out for so long other than the waiting on the bjs/Lemieux fight dance partner swap ODH probably had in mind for Canelo. Pro Canelo fans can say Canelo out boxes GGG in their first fight and pro GGG fans can say GGG worked Canelo for the better part of 12 rounds. In the end it doesn’t really matter because we got a split draw decision. But for two fighters who think they both won the bout. One(GGG) is clearly ready to sign off on dotted line. The other (Canelo) who claims he got the better of the bout, seems hesitant about going foreward with the fight. Why the holdup? Purse splits, rehydration clauses, vacation homes in Cancun or the French Riviera. What’s the hold up. Is it canelo, Oscar, GGG, or the promoters to blame? If the confidence to fight each other is really there then what’s keeping things from going forward??? I would like real reasons. Not fanboy/trolling “because Canelos being a little *****” etc and so forth. Does anyone actually have any insider intell in this?

Relax man. It's Xmas. The fight is gonna happen. But now you gonna have 20 million fools on here throwing in their two cents about why the fight isn't signed... They all act like they are part of the negotiating committee. GGG should have scheduled a fight for January and he could have still fought Canelo in May. Because Canelo only wants to fight once every 8 or 9 months like Fury used to do. That's not good. It's better to stay more active and more fights means more money. But these guys don't seem to understand that.

ggg won the first fight strictly off activity and pressure. canelo needs to fix that gas tank. he was running around looking for breathers and time-outs. landing an occasional eye catching counter is not enough to win a round. canelo started strong then faded due to constant pressure and ggg's unbreakable chin. if ggg had invested in body shots he would've gotten the stoppage. canelo wins with a better gas tank though.

I personally don't care if this fight happens. The first one wasn't that good at all. It was a little one dimensional, boring fight. Skill-less vs Powerless.

Don't think it would do anything closer to the first. And, by the way, where's the buzz for this "super" fight?
