I have never said that GGG deserves to be in the HOF, so I don't see how my avatar is relevant to the discussion.
GGG might become a HOF material, but, as of right now, he is not quite there yet.Comment

Yeah I couldn't let that opportunity slide, that's why I asked if you thought he was HOF worthy.
But just funny in the sense that someone who is a fan of GGG would question another fighter's resume, especially one that was very doiminant.
Nothing personal - it just looked funnyComment

He out weighted Mosley and by then Trinidad was an shell of him self .This guy was one of the purest boxers that we have ever seen. Not much power but an unbelievable amount of skill. Not sure about Winky getting in over him although he did have massive victories over Mosley and Trinidad so that probably put him over the top. Calderon's time will come.

Calderon was a beautiful boxer. He will make it in one day.
Most impressive thing about him was that he was literally tiny. Even for a 105lber. He was like 5"0 and had no trouble making 105. He had zero power either. The guy was just pure evasive boxing skill.Comment

Thread title has 'HOF' in it so I expected Gatti to be in the comments
You guys didn't disappointComment

I love Gatti, but you’d have to let me smoke what you’re smoking to even get me to remotely believe that Gatti was a better fighter than Calderon. You’re right, the HOF nod isn’t what it should be. No disrespect to Gatti, but he shouldn’t have been let in.Comment

I remember some of his fights that I attended in the garden and will be horrific Cuts he sustained but he definitely belongs in the Hof far more than someone like Gatti or Mancini they were just average fighters, nothing more ... Calderon was a level above both of them a very scientific boxer who moved around the ring well...Comment

IMO, Calderon flat out doesn't have the quality wins to make it. Nor did he have an impact on the boxing world.Comment
