Lamont slips a lot of punches on the inside. He has really good upper body movement up close when he wants

If Lamont ****s, it will be even heading into the 7th with a shot for him to win depending on how much punishment he can endure all the while landing big potential game changing shots himself during the exchanges

If Lamont boxes, he will be down 6-0 heading into the 7th if he even makes it that far

    Heard it here first

Peterson always starts slow. If he starts fast it's a fight if he starts slow it's Mattheyse all over again.

Well he's gonna start slow; we know that. But Spence isn't the fastest starter either. They both take roughly 2-3 rounds to be in groove

Yeah but I'd just be worried that Spence can clip him early.

I hope it's competitive but I have my doubts and Peterson's ring rust doesn't instill me wth confidence (I know Spence has barely fought as well).

Spence is more of a volume puncher so he wears down his opponents from accumulation as opposed to a single shot.

I don't see Lamont being dropped from a single head shot. But the problem is in order for Spence to wear Lamont down, he's also in line to get worn down.

Lamont actually gets stronger as the fight progresses so it would be smart for Spence to hop on him from the 1st round. But since Spence starts slow, I don't see that happening

For proof of how strong Lamont gets as the fight goes just look at the Ortiz, Garcia and Khan fights. Once Lamont is in his groove and coming forward, he's very dangerous.

I'm not saying LP will win but this is a very dangerous fight for Spence

I know right...once Peterson knew Garcia couldn't hurt him, he was coming forward the rest of the fight

If Peterson did this from round 1 instead of boxing, Garcia doesn't see the 12th

I still question Barry Hunter's directions and just can't understand for the life of me why he would continuously give Peterson bad guidance throughout the Garcia fight. Peterson wanted to start pressing Garcia early, but Hunter told him not too :

One sided beat down here. I don't see peterson getting anywhere near him.
