He's a born Warrior, a Fighter, hell he's apparently still beating people and still loves FIGHTING. So why do you think he's not going to fight against people telling him how he should live his life? :
I understand that people want him to stop, but I understand Roy's point of view also. This guy loves boxing and he wants to feel fully alive..., even if it kills him. A big part of me admires his will to fight on. Old guy's who keep pushing and fighting are the true warriors of the sport..Not these young pvssies who quit when they start getting beat or when they've earned a lot of money. I like Roy now, more than I've ever liked him. He's a FIGHTER, even though he may be making a dangerous decision. I also admire Hopkin's drive and determination, fighting on as an old man. Just the fact that he was fighting top competition at almost 51 years of age, is a huge accomplishment. No one wants to become old and useless. These guys are heroic to me, even if they're somewhat crazy. Maybe, you young guys will understand my position when you get a bit older.
if he wants to fight its his choice, people can moan about the commisioning bodies but its jones choice. As such if something bad happens its on him, saying that hes fighting pretty god awful opposition now so i dont think its a case of a fighter thinking theyve still got it, where with james toney he probably believes he could beat anthony joshua right now lol, know he was calling out klitschko when he was around 15 years past his best.
