As a matter of fact, if your a black fighter in the U.S. the more u make is usually a barometer for how hated u really are.
Look at Floyd for example, while he's the richest ever, it's because soooooo many white racist haters paid for the opportunity to see him lose.
It's a great example of how racist hate backfired, and made a Black man very rich !Last edited by SugarRaRobinson; 12-23-2017, 01:34 AM.Comment

If he wasn't black he would get even less coverage. Fighting nothing but unranked bums and yelling out bomb squad when you should be yelling out bum squad isn't going to get you a lot of media coverage except from the casual fan who doesn't understand that you are fighting bums, they think you are doing nothing wrong.Comment

His point still stands though - Wilder isn't popular because he has fought only bums - even if the reason is because his opponents cheated and the fight never happenedComment

It's because of non stop voluntary defenses. Three years, one title, one mandatory. Look at what Tyson accomplished in 3 years compared to you. Your doing the exact opposite of what Tyson did. Tyson cleaned out the division and wilder is letting Joshua do that, while he fights BUMSQUAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

It is odd to hear all of "Wilder has only beaten bums" line when the obvious part is that very few want to fight him. Not the most aesthetic style, but Wilder doesn't just knock you out, he destroys you. Pov, Ortiz, Parker, & Joshua, even Wlad, do/did everything they can to not step in the ring with him. Forget the sparring stories from his baby days, I am talking 10-12 3 minute rounds. He will catch you. He has excellent recovery abilities, his jab is polished, and he sets traps in a very subtle, almost unseeable fashion. I have seen him fight live & I've seen him spar & as a huge fan of both he & AJ, I'm telling you that Wilder is the diamond in the rough of boxing. All of Hearn's garbage about "realistic" pay outs is nothing more than a blatant and cowardly duck. Wilder KOs AJ inside of 6 rounds when/if they fight.Comment

At the end of the day, it's all tribal. Boxing is very primal and divided among ethnic lines. People out of tribal instinct will always have more of an affinity and sympathy towards those they see as belonging to the same group.Comment
