Just play the race card and act like a victim - easy money
Except the dope also continues to shoot down potential sponsors with this type of behavior and his troubles outside the ring , choking escort girls and hotel lobby fights has without a doubt scared them away so hes LOSING money .

Blaming the media for his own incompetence along with his management is the easy way out not to mention boxing isnt even a top 5 sport in the U.S so whats there to cover on a fighter who steps outside of Alabama once in a blue moon in a career that started years ago .

What HW champion really markets themselves like that ? Idiot is the first word i think when i picture Wilder beyond his knock outs .

Demanding 50/50? When did they start negotiations?

It's a fact that there are a lot of Americans who would prefer to cheer for a white foreigner than for a black from their own country. He's not making that up.
Whatever your opinion, using race as a tool for provocation or attention is playing the race card

Stuff like this is why your country is socially 50 years behind the rest of the developed world

He believes homegrown boxers are largely ignored by the American press.

Sonny Liston, Muhammad Ali, Frazier, Mike Tyson, Holyfield were all big names and black as well. Do people always have to play the race card. Wilder just has to keep fighting the big fights not all this race stuff he is trying to bring up.

He's laying out the facts as they are.

Playing ostrich, sticking his head in the sand, and pretending there isn't a problem is no way to confront reality.

hearn met with wilders team after he beat stirverne or did you forget that because it makes wilder look bad? why would you demand 50-50 in public if you want the fight so bad? that doesnt corner anyone. that gives them an excuse not to fight yo since its ridiculous.

                • Wilder would get more media respect if he beat Povetkin or Ortiz but it is what it is

In this case I think he is off with this

If anything he is getting friendly treatment over at ESPN where he is inexplicably rated #10 p4p

or, just maybe, people cheer for the fighters whose style and character they like the most. Why does the debate ALWAYS get dumbed down to race? I mean come on already. Grow up.

And where is it written that the first 2 criteria we must consider when choosing our favorites is skin pigment and national origin?

Naw. This is a real problem in the States, there's no sugarcoating it.

You won't see the Brits supporting a foreigner over Joshua just because AJ is black. That would never happen.
