What's the justice system got to do with the popularity of sports stars?

Aren't most of the popular sports stars black? Like that Lebron guy, Williams sisters, Tiger Woods was the most popular golfer of all time. It's complete bollocks blaming popularity on race. Achievements and personality are the biggest factors.

Race is a factor, but not so much in Wilder's case. He just isn't that good. I think Joshua is even worse.

I think cause more people will cough up $$$$

blacks only cough up cash for raps, basketball and jordans.

        • it's not always about race. A lot of times it's about something called the "IT" factor. Tyson was an instant classic and became the baddest man on the planet at a very young age. Everybody loved Tyson and wanted to see him fight.

          • If Deontay was still with GBP or signed with Top Rank, Matchroom, or K2, things would be different. Those promoters use all the tools necessary, including "white" media to build a fighter.

The drawback is they take a higher fee than Al Haymon.

            • Wilder has done **** all to get casuals talking. Even boxing fans on here didn't give a **** about the guy until he started mentioning Joshua, now he has more than 5 fans on here for the first time ever.

              • I like Wilder a lot, I think he has the potential to be one of the greats but hes wrong about people being racist. If anything being black helps him. Mayweather and Tyson were both black. Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Holyfield, lenox Lewis, pretty much the most popular fighters of the last 30 years were black. The problem is hes with Pbc who are horrible at matchmaking and therefore Wilder hasnt gotten a chance to prove himself and make a name in the sport. Blame Al Haymon not white America and media

Then USA fans respect him subconsciously because of the respect that their brother white folks in UK hold him in

If Joshua was in USA, sure hed be ok, a very promising hw , but not what he is with the hype
He is not right the whole world is racist in some sense - Fact if he had fought anyone or genuinely tried to make good fights with the other Belt Holders, his people would know and respect him and he has not simple.

Wilder is a low life this has nothing to do with race, this guy will retire undefeated - Loser

PBC seem more about promoting the brand than promoting the fighters
