Beterbiev is not fighting for now, but when does he ever?

Gvozdyk is pursuing the WBC route for a possible eliminator against Alvarez to hopefully face Stevenson later...

So your comment is wrong. Not Kovalev’s fault, and he’s staying busy in the meantime...
I need to see kovalev beterbiev asap

Barrera simply didn't want to get paid the slave wages Egis Klimas/Kathy Duva were offering.

Smart move. Bivol is green and Barrera has a better shot at beating him than he does Kovalev. A strap is always a good bargaining chip in negotiations.

So he’s getting paid more to fight Bivol ya wager?

Excellent card. I have to admit I'm more intrigued by Bivol v Barrera, simply because this will be Bivol's first real test, and ever since Barrera dispatched Joe Smith Jr, he has increasingly gone from fringe contender to potential titlist.
I also would like to see Kova prevail, as I can't see the current LHW division without him. I just pray Jack obliterates Stevenson into retirement, and then the division would be cleaned out.

Decent card - shame that no other top contenders available

Ah yes, Sullivan Barrera. The man that's been dropped by Andre Ward, Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, Joe Smith Jr., and Felix Valera in 4 of his last 5 fights. He deserves a huge payday.

Seriously did I miss something, is Bivol some huge draw?

They defend Barrera for ducking Kovalev because of the "money", but will fighting Bivol pay him more?

Barrera got his pick. I figured politics would leave the other guy with a weaker option.

I came across some info about Mikhalkin's amateur career.
He is 228-12 with 3 wins over Beterbiev.
