Sergey Kovalev continues his rise back to the top of the light heavyweight division when he returns to the Mecca of Boxing on Saturday, March 3rd to defend the WBO Light Heavyweight World Title versus southpaw Igor Mikhalkin, originally of Irkutsk, Russia, now fighting out of Hamburg, Germany. another charlo-lubin lara-gausha situation where the co-main is supposed to be the main-event and also most likely outshines the main-event..for the division's sake bivol has to win..a young gun at 175lbs is what they need.. he could always come back given he's young but a win helps him and the division as the young star to look out for sorta like A.j,Spence e.t.c..interesting 50/50 matchup between youth vs experience.. I'm picking youth..oh almost forgot.. kovalev will run through milhakin like a freight train hopefully we get a unification fight next with both winners or winner of the main event vs beterbiev after the dust settles..to keep things moving in the direction of establishing an undisputed champ..perhaps gvozdyk or jack takes Stevenson out of the way..if he still is in the division king picture..there will never be clarity in the division as who is the top undisputed dog

Barrera didn’t grow a pair enough to face Kovalev, as he was offered and refused the fight yet again... He instead chose what he thought to be the easier, less experienced fighter in Bivol.

Beterbiev is not fighting for now, but when does he ever?

Gvozdyk is pursuing the WBC route for a possible eliminator against Alvarez to hopefully face Stevenson later...

So your comment is wrong. Not Kovalev’s fault, and he’s staying busy in the meantime...

Barrera ducked just like Chickenson. Bivol is unproven.

Good card. Hopefully the winners fight each other to unify the WBA/WBO/IBO.
