So where does Tarver go now?

I honestly HATE Antonio Tarver, but I'd like to have a SERIOUS discussion here as to where Tarver goes from here? Does he retire? Does he make a run for what hopefully will soon be (please Bernard Hopkins do the right thing) a vacant title?...

    What does he do now??

He acted like he might retire after the fight last night. Likely he takes a "comeback fight" and fights for another lt. heavy belt or Johnson a third time for some cash...

his rep was damaged last night, not like he had a great following anyway. but he can comeback. he could take on a Calzaghe at a catch weight, Bell at cruiser, or even a Brock/Toney at Heavy. but that chip he had on his shoulder got the knocked the hell off.

its obvious that hes not fighting johnson again. and if he moves up to HW, he'll be a 37 year old blown up LHW getting his ass handed to him by real HWs.

tarver's future looks bleak to say the least.

HW would be bad, he'll get killed. I think his best option is take a tune-up fight, get a couple wins, then try to retake the LHW belts. He really put himself in a hole with this poor performance.

Even though Tyson doesnt have the heart to fight anymore I think he would literally kill Tarver...

Tarver got beat by a Hall of Famer, and there aren't any others fighting at Lt. Heavy. There's no reason he can't do well against the other garbage fighting at that weight.

No doubt though, Tarver just lost all credibility and his next opponents will have a lot of confidence. From here on out, Tarver will not have easy fights. I don't think Tarver wants to work that hard any more.

Tarver may as well retire and accept that he will soon be forgotten. He can tell his grandkids about beating RJJ and hope they never heard of Hopkins.
