Holding them to that for every fight is silly. GGG shouldn't be expected to go down to 154 reasonably, and Ward shouldn't be expected to go down to 160 reasonably.

Offering up a catchweight in general is a weak move - you are either flexing the A-side for an advantage or you are requesting a weight you know is too low for the other fighter to accept.

Around the time period GGG made the 164lb offer Ward had just weighed in for Paul Smith at just under 172 and GGG had not yet even fought Lemieux. He was not just requesting an advantage as the A-side, he was asking for Ward to come down a lot of weight to avoid the fight.
GGG offered to go down to 154 to fight Floyd...Floyd told him he needed to fight Ward first, typical. Sergio Martinez also offered to come down to 154 for Floyd and Floyd again went silent.

You seem to want to make excuses for Ward but put most of the blame on GGG for them not fighting. You can't make excuses for Floyd being too small to fight GGG at 154, yet expect GGG to fight Ward at 168. Knowing what we know now, the risk vs. reward to fight Ward didn't add up. Ward is/was not a draw. So if you can make an excuse for Ward willing to fight Floyd at 160 for a lot of money, then you can make an excuse for GGG not wanting to fight Ward at 168 for very little money.

Pacquiao didn't do testing until after JMM KO'd him. You'd think a Pacquiao nuthugger like you would know this.

In what alternate reality does GGG ever beat Ward? 164, 168, 175 whatever - Ward gets a wide UD or stops GGG.

GGG is too hittable for Ward and would get stopped in the later rounds most likely. The best decision Dis-Abel 'Dirty' Sanchez ever made was to keep GGG from Ward, or else his stock would have dropped MASSIVELY.

Freddie Roach also said that Manny would have beaten Floyd if he was 100% and didn't have a shoulder injury. Do you believe Freddie when he says that too?

Nope because he's his trainer. That shoulder injury was an excuse for getting schooled and winning only 3 rounds at best against TBE. They just wanted another mayweather payday :

freddie roach is on record saying it was their fault the fight didnt happen earlier so blame PEDMAN.

                    GO USA
