Crawford fought both those guys because Arum knew he would beat them and didn't ask for much. He actually asked for options on Diaz, which kinda stalled the fight until Diaz finally agreed. GB and Arum have no problem matching their fighters against Haymon fighters when they know their fighter has no chance of losing. If they feel their fighter could lose they quickly ask for options or a bigger split of the revenue.

I think it makes perfect sense. Manny wants to keep getting paid like he is used to. He expects to keep making a guarantee of over 20M for each fight. However, Arum knows that isn't possible anymore. He knows Manny isn't bringing in the same money and doesn't want to take a loss on a Manny fight. That's the big reason Manny fought Horn in Australia because they offered to pay Manny a guarateed purse.

The money part of it makes sense but I find everything else kind of odd. I just thought by now Manny would be gone from boxing like they've been talking about for past 5 years

I actually hope he fights Amir Khan... It would be a good fight. It would also give Manny his first knockout in what, 6 years?

Bob tried to let him ride off into the sunset with an easy Win vs a unheard of boxing school teacher. But no you tried to tell bob HOW$$$ MUCH MONEY He has to pay you to do your job (job ie whoever bob tells him to fight), Pac needs money and Bob is gonna put him on the altar.

Well, we know Mikey is not going for that! Supposedly, Mikey is launching his own promotional company too!

I agree with you he should match Crawford up with pac in fact he probably should have a while ago but I think he’s looking to push Loma as his next star although I feel Crawford is more deserving

i think loma can become a bigger star than crawford unless crawford changes his attitude/personality. but loma fighting and beating pac wont make him become a star overnight.

reason why is because the fight will have to be at 140 so if loma beats pac he's not gonna get that much credit for it. loma needs to fight mikey to break into the super star level.

crawford fighting and beating pac at 147 will boost up his career faster. this is the fight i see arum making, but not until end of 2018.

I kind of feel like that ship has sailed as far as making him an instant star after the horn losss. Had Crawford got to him first he could be one of the biggest stars in boxing right now
