ROMERO "Ruthless" Duno of the Philippines will again be see action in the United States - on January 27 at the Forum in Inglewood, California. This time, Duno is fighting on the undercard of the WBA world lightweight title fight between champion Jorge Linares and challenger Mercito Gesta. The fight will be scheduled for ten rounds. The boxing card will also feature the championship fight, for the vacant WBA "regular" welterweight title, between Lucas Martin Matthysse and Tewa Kiram.

I saw Gesta a few months back on TV and he's a type of a
strong ,walkingthem down type fighter... not a lot of diversity to his style...Linares should not have too much trouble with him...

I like that Linares ain't waiting around and fighting. Gesta is a good, strong, hard LW and Linares will be in tough. Hopefully he fights either Mikey or unifies after.

Gesta is a plodder. He has quick hands, but he can be boxed. Hard to say about Duno. He was being punished by Chimpa, when he landed that brick.

Guerrero Gesta just turned 30 and has been looking better than ever. The guy we saw lose to Miguel Vasquez 6 years ago is not the same fighter we'll see against Linares.
