    El puertorriqueño venció anoche a Paul Malignaggi con votación de 115-112, 116-111 y 116-111 en el combate celebrado en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York.

    Esta fue la séptima defensa de título del campeón, quien confirmó que no volverá a pelear en las 140 libras debido a que tiene mucha dificultad en hacer el peso. Cotto terminó el combate con la mano izquierda hinchada, algo que para muchos evitó poder noquear a Malignaggi.

    Actually in the post fight interview he didn't say that he was moving up to 147lbs. He said he will likely move up but that he his managers and the company would discuss it.

    Gotta give some props to Cotto for conducting the post fight interview in English, he's making a big effort to appeal to American fans, even has an english tutor.
