You like a fighter today, tomorrow he loses. You pick another one, he loses too.... And another... Pitting fighters against anyone and everyone whether they feel they are ready for such a fight or not is crazy. I like the build up in boxing, it makes the much anticipated fights more interesting at least to me except when promoters over do it.
Simple reason I am not a fan of UFC, add that to the bar style of fighting were they just rush each other like amateurs looking for a knockout cuz thatz the only way they will survive to fight another day. Losing in UFC is as good as retiring.
2017 has been a great year for boxing but how many of those great fights do you think of or try to re-watch? For me, Canelo Golovkin only. Maybe the Jacobs fight too, every other fight came and it's gone.
Building up a fight and fighters does help make a fight more interesting than it actually is.
