Pretty sure Canelo spent his last 12 rounds with his running shoes on.

I get that Gomez is trying to do right by his company and his fighter, but this is just ******.

Gomez and Golden Girl want boxers to stand there and be a punching bag, these guys are a joke, I hope Triple G gets the job done right this time and knock this fool out, so Golden Boy Promotions can be done with

I think Canelo has a better chance of beating GGG than either Danny Jacobs or BJS to be honest.

Just the styles. I can't picture Canelo having the feet to keep up with these bigger guys who can also move and have the reach advantage.

Lemieux was getting picked apart by bjs offense and looked lost that night. Fact is Canelo struggles with guys that can box and are hard to cut the ring off on. And the crazier part is Saunders called out GGG when he interviewed with Max Kellerman not Canelo lol
I'm a fan of slick boxing. I even enjoy watching Rigo but Saunders wasn't doing it slick, he was running. It was boring, keeping way too much unncessary distance between him and Lemieux. It was 100 steps after every duck, dodge or slip of punch.

I do feel for GGG, he's got Jacobs rematch, Saunders who he claims holds his dreams of collecting all the belts but for some reason GGG is not so pumped about achievening the dream asap, Charlo and Andrade knocking on his door. Oh and same goes for Canelo, it's going to be rough for both of them at 160.

Everyone said Canelo would knock out GGG.. he got booed out by his own fans at T-Mobile because he didn't stand there and trade in the center of the Ring. He couldn't stand there and trade with Golovkin in the pocket because he knows he had a high probability of getting caught.
Both Fighters will adjust in this rematch let's just see if your boy decides to go for the K.O. this time and not sell us Wolf Tickets
Of course, he couldn't just stand there and trade with GGG. Did Muhammed Ali just stand there and trade with Earnie Shavers? And did Shavers and the fans complain because Ali did not oblige Shaver's and act like a punching bag? Why do so-called "boxing" fans complain now when similar tactics are employed. Maybe because they are confusing boxing with MMA.

Bit disingenuous to call that performance running, and what does that make moody Canelos performance v GGG then?

"We already knew he was a good fighter but what surprised us is how much he runs. He does not allow himself to fight, he starts running, it's a very annoying style. Canelo already fought with a similar style with Erislandy Lara and he got through it. So having said that, we're going to keep the focus on the tiebreaker [with Golovkin]," Gomez said to ESPN Deportes.

I wonder what these people at GBP take before the interviews to be able to give these types of answers with a straight face...probably crack...." Canelo already fought with a similar style with Erislandy Lara"...ummm no, it should read, " Canelo already tried to employ a similar style against Gennady Golovkin, but it wasn't as effective."

Agreed. Saunders gave Lemieux a boxing lesson. He moved a lot, but Lemieux chased him a lot and rarely cut the ring off. It doesn't help that Lemieux is slow on his feet and often unbalanced.
