Paulie, gained respect or not?

I personally liked his interviews. He talked trash to put butts in the seats but he sounded very inteligent in his interviews. I also think that he fought a heck of a fight and showed a lot of heart. I said it before I wanted and expected Cotto to win but I wanted Paulie to have a good outing because I think he is entertaining and brings excitement to the sport.

I also think he showed a tremendous amount of heart in both getting knocked down and cut in the opening rounds and still held on strong and contributed to an exciting fight. Paulie also made no excuses in his post fight interview and manned up. He said the Cut and Knocked down threw him off his game plan some but thats understandable due to his lack of experience in suck a situation. I would personally like to see him fight some other good jrWelters. What are you guys thoughts?

I was pretty impressed with how he acted. I expected cotto to win but didn't expect Paulie to show as much heart as he did. He held on more than I would have liked to see but he had to do it or else he would have taken an even worse beating. Overall he showed heart but eat all the **** he talked beforehand.

As much as I was hoping Cotto beat the snott out of him, I have to say he's earned my respect & from now on I will route for him when I see him fight.

At any given time he could've chose not to continue but he kept fighting. PROPS PAULIE!!!

Well, everybody forgot to mention that Malignaggi got his eye ripped open by a headbutt 10 seconds into the ****ing fight. I just watched it, and that **** was ridiculous. Of course he gained respect for enduring his first cut that early in the fight, surviving a knockdown, and still making it to the final bell, winning 4 rounds for sure. Very impressed here.

He might have broken his jaw but he did fracture his right orbital bone. He also got cut and had a legit knock down in the second. If he was just there for the 1 pay day he could've easily just given up, but he showed the heart and pride of a real fighter.
