I have a freind that is very close to Cotto's training camp, he stated that Cotto's left pinky and ring finger knuckles are very swollen.

I am glad that Malignaggi spoke the way he did after the fight, he was beat fair and square, maybe even went home with a broken cheek bone and nose.

Cotto fought a smart fight, and outboxed a fighter that was said to be a great boxer. Cotto also was able to deal with the fact that the ref ignored the obvious holding of Malignaggi.

I read these forums a lot, and there are a bunch of regulars i've seen on here, that hyped paulie when I BET they've never seen him fight once. Cotto won, and now hes getting bashed.

I dunno about getting bashed, but this was another seemingly b or c level fighter who gave Miguel ALOT of trouble.
Another win, another unimpressive preformance for miguel.
But hey, if he can win all of his fights, no matter how unimpressive they may be, then all the power to him.

Exactly correct. I like Cotto alot, I favored him and I bet on him to beat Malignaggi. I was just very unimpressed with his performance.

The people that are questioning why people are being critical of Cottos performance are the same people that were critical of PBFs and Hattons last fight.

The truth is Cotto won fair and square, and Malignaggi fought a better fight than anyone gave him credit for. Malignaggi looks like a ***g0t but fought like a man. He impressed me and this is probley the best thing that could happen for him, except the broke jaw lol. Why? Hes young and he will be back a better fighter in a weaker division. He will probley end up dominating the 140 division if Cotto and Hatton stay in welterweight.

What I dont understand is people are accusing me of being a "hater" because I made a thread that said Cottos performance was unimpressive and he would lose to Gatti, PBF, and Hatton due to the style matchup IMO. Hell I can find a quote where I said the Gatti, Hatton, PBF thing before this fight happened.
