Cotto's promoter wasn't willing to make the fight unless Mikey signed a long term promotional agreement. Mikey wanted to jump three weight classes above where he holds a world title to fight another world champion. Yet Mikey is ducking because he didn't want to sign with Golden Boy? Ridiculous. Its funny the hate coming out of Garcias mouth. I like the kid, always have but this is ******. Crawford is p4p #1 & Loma is arguably #2. Mikey is fighting a no hoper for a weak title that Crawford left when Mikey couldve fought for all the titles at 140. Mikeys most recent fights were vs broner(never been that good) and zlati-who? Now he's fighting this scrub who went life and death vs the japanese cab driver. He shouldve fought Linares and at least unified. Now hes just picking up titles vs the weakest of opposition.....

where did i say he was no good? your comprehension is low. very low. i said he ducked fights. which he did. now hes fighting some guy named lipinets who struggled with a japanese journeyman instead of linares or easter. he was offered more money ok thats probably true since lipinets will fight for 5 dollars. this is another reason the loma fight will never happen. garcia would prefer to take the lions share against bums then share with loma. his career is forgetful. hes a good fighter but hes trying to manufacture himself into something hes not.
