Gervonta Davis is James Kirkland 2.0. Why do posters think he's going to beat Loma?

I wasn't saying they are exactly the same. Davis has a lot more to accomplish going forward. He's only 23 and has more time. I was responding to a GGG fanatic who questions everyone's resume except his favorite fighters like Beterbiev and GGG.

Why are you so angry? Block me!
I'm not angry. I just thought that was an asinine comparison.

He won two belts in the ring and one outside the ring. Some dude in Panama (no big deal) and Lemieux (solid guy) and has beaten about a half dozen or more champions and is one defense away from the all-time defense record in addition to being tied for the most consecutive KO's in title defenses (tied with Wilfredo Gomez). A win over Jacobs and a "draw" with Canelo (in a fight nearly everyone says he won) are solid too and trump anything Tank ever did.

Not saying it's a murderers row or that he's Hagler but he's done so much more than Tank who's basically won a title against a nobody and defended once against a bum and then didn't make weight and lost his title and is openly ducking the fighter perceived to be the best in his weight.

Trying to think of all these champs, or even former champs:

Lemieux -the only legit belt won in the ring- is a nobody. I don't recognize IBO. I don't count that. Geale -former title holder- is a nobody. Jacobs -has never been a legit champ- the WBC regular doesn't count, a ****** bogus title. Jacobs is at best a B- fighter (close, disputed decision). With Canelo he looked average and clueless, hitting too much air.

      What did I miss?

How long have former soviet countries been competing in the professional ranks? How many world champions have they produced in less than 20 years? Who dominated the HW division for 10 years straight? Who is p4p #1 at the moment? Who is dominating the CW and LHW division? another minority cry baby living in the past.

Terrance Crawford definitely p4p 1 since Loma lost to a journeyman with nearly 15 losses. Who’s been p4p for the last decade lol? Not one white person. Sorry. Lead only dominated against bums, you see what happened when he stepped up against a real brotha. How many times did Wlad get ktfo lol?
You mean the light heavy weight division where
Adonis,Badou,Alvarez Marcus Browne,Sullivan Barrera. Are all ranked in the top 10? You know it’s true boy. I’m living in the past present and future. Look at that ATG list from BoxRec

          Floyd Mayweather Jr
          Money / Pretty Boy

          2 Archie Moore
          Old Mongoose

          Benoit, Mississippi
          3 Sugar Ray Robinson

          4 Manny Pacquiao
          Pac Man

          5 Bernard Hopkins
          The Executioner / The Alien

          6 Muhammad Ali
          The Greatest

          7 Julio Cesar Chavez
          J.C.

          8 Evander Holyfield
          The Real Deal

          9 Joe Louis
          The Brown Bomber

          10 Roy Jones Jr
          Junior

Hmmm Who’s missing ? Are you going to blame it on the Soviet lmao? Crybaby

            Lomachenko p4p #1.
How many ''brothas'' did Wlad KTFO again?
I see you ignored the CW division.
I see you forgot Bivol, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Kovalev from your LHW rankings who are all better than your ''brothas'' at LHW.
How many ''brothas did GGG ktfo?
How many ''brothas'' did Loma make quit and cry on their stool?
In less than 20 years boxing landscape has moved from USA dominance to the rest of the world even though the USA had a 100 year head start. Imagine the next 20 years, even more ''brothas'' getting KTFO out and quitting...hahahhahaa, go cry in the corner boy.

But I don’t see ESPN ponying up the money for this fight. Because no way Tank says yes for the 400k Rigo got paid. It would take at least 1.5 if not more for Tank to sign a contract.
This right here, Tank is still devoloping and he wouldn’t be paid a quarter of what he will eventually gross.

This is one fight to keep an eye on, plenty of fights out there for Loma right now, Berchelt, even Salido I suspect he makes him quit too now with the level he’s raised to. Then theirs Linares and Mikey, though I’m not opposed to the Garcia fight being marinated to build its star potential and possible ppv, I don’t feel it’s a great career choice for Mikey he should do what Canelo did and allow GGG to age and show signs of decline before tackling him, very much a fight I want to see but I won’t beat myself up or off if it don’t happen immediately. Some of you guys need to get a grip.

In boxing in the 21st century, you are only one loss away from being called a bum, a hype-job, overrated, or exposed. It happened to Chocolotito when Floyd fans let out a huge sigh of relief after his loss, it happened to Kovalev, Bradley, Brook, Walters, Indongo, and it happened to Danny Garcia. It will happen to GGG too. I'm just curious if all those fans who ridiculed the fighters I mentioned, will say the same thing about Gervonta after he suffers his first loss.

yeah but they are the same age so that could take awhile. lomas style will definitely break down sooner than mikeys but we could be tlaking another 5 year duck like floyd-pac. by that time no one will care.
