Just like GB won't do business with Arum for a Linares fight unless they get a 50/50 split. Any threat that will fight Loma from another promotional company, Arum will be wanting a big split along with options on the fighter. Will Arum give GB options on Loma to make a fight with Linares, probably not but then GB would ask for a 50/50 split. It's easier for Arum to deal with in house fights or fighters he knows he can manipulate and get future fights out of. Arum hasn't worked with GB or PBC for any big fights with named fighters, and if he did they were low tier fighters that Arum's fighter had no chance of losing to them.

The thing is, if you have the A-side fighter, it makes sense for you to control the promotion.

If your fighter is B-side, you should be willing to have him fight under other banners. So far only Haymon has been willing to do that sensible thing (Wade & Jacobs vs. GGG, Khan & Chavez Sr. vs. Canelo, Molina/Diaz vs. Crawford, etc.).

In the case of Loma, Mayweather isn’t going to do business with Arum. Maybe ever. So we can forget that.

I am pretty sure Lomachenko made the tweet responding to what Floyd said about him in an interview with fight hype. People are acting as if Loma just started tweeting about Floyd. Here is what Floyd said about Loma

Mayweather’s statement was an interesting one as he fought Juan Manuel Marquez back in 2009. At that time, Marquez went up two weight classes for the bout where Mayweather came in two pounds over the weight limit and was forced to pay Marquez a fine.

Mayweather went on to criticize Rigondeaux who claimed he hurt his hand during the fight, which was his reason he quit after round six.

Relatively unknown? He only has 11 fights! No one knew how Tyson, Mayweather or Pac was 11 fights in. More people know Loma 11 fights in than they did just about any other fighter in history.

Mayweather was the one who had Loma in his mouth first. He said Crawford deserves P4P over Loma and he trash talked Loma's win over Rigo. Seems to me Floyd is the one who needs the publicity to remain relevant somehow.
